The GOLD (Global Oncologic Learnings for Dovitinib) Trials are a series of global initiatives led by Novartis that encompass a broad range of malignancies, such as renal cell carcinoma (RCC), breast cancer, gastric cancer, hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), multiple myeloma, and urothelial cancer.
Dovitinib is an investigational cancer treatment in development by Novartis. Dovitinib is being studied in patients with progression on prior VEGF- and mTOR-targeted therapies, which is an ideal setting to test whether this drug has additional therapeutic properties over other VEGF/PDGF and mTOR inhibitors.1
Abbreviations: VEGF, vascular endothelial growth factor; mTOR, mammalian target of rapamycin; PDGF, platelet-derived growth factor.
